Gilley’s food line started with a product that’s a natural extension of their light, food-friendly Texas blonde ale, barbecue rub. Mickey Gilley knows that beer and barbecue just go together, and his line of spice blends were crafted to enhance the flavor of any cut of meat. The packaging for Gilley’s barbecue rubs similarly needed to echo that of the Gilley’s Texas blonde ale, and we also wanted it to stand out in a grocery store aisle full of barbecue and Texas-themed options.
